DCS的概念
集散控制系統（Distributed Control System）亦稱分布式控制系統（簡稱DCS），是結合多種先進技術而形成的，對生產過程進行集中監測、操作、管理和分散控制的一種控制技術，是隨著現代大型工業生產自動化的不斷發展和過程控制要求的日益復雜應運而生的一種綜合控制系統，是完成過程控制、過程管理的現代化設備。 幻燈片3 國外稱集散控制系統是4C 技術的產物。這4C 就是指控制技術（Control）、計算機技術（Computer）、通信技術（Communication）、和CRT（Cathode Ray Tube）技術。DCS既不同于分散的儀表控制，又不同于集中式計算機控制系統，是4C 技術相互滲透發展而產生的 。
其特點是采用模塊化、標準化設計，數據通信向標準化遷移，板級模塊化，單元結 構化，使之具有更強適應性和可擴充性；新開發的多功能過程控制站、增強型操作站采用了16位CPU及高分辨率CRT技術；通信系統已采用局域網絡（從主從式的星形變為總線網絡或環網通信），使系統通信范圍擴大，同時數據傳輸速率也大大提高；控制功能更加完善，它能實現過程控制、數據采集、順序控制和批量控制功能。 其基本結構由六部分組成，即局域網絡、多功能現場控制站、增強型操作站、主計算機、網絡連接器和系統管理站等。
